Nordic Naturals® Expands Nordic Pet® Collection, New 2 fluid ounce Pet Cod Liver Oil for Cats and Small Breed Dogs Product Offered

Watsonville, CA (June 25, 2012) Nordic Naturals®, the leading manufacturer of omega-3 oil supplements, is now packaging its Pet Cod Liver Oil in another convenient size:  a 2 fluid-ounce size bottle with a calibrated dropper, for cats and small breed dogs. The product is the same formulation as the 8 and 16 fluid-ounce size bottles, which exclusively uses wild Arctic cod (Skrei), sourced from the Norwegian Sea off the Lofoten Islands near Bodø, Norway.

“We are continually expanding our Nordic Pet Collection to offer pure omega-3 oil supplements that are specially formulated for cats and dogs in a variety of sizes that correlate to the size and weight of the pet companion,” noted Erin Hay, Nordic Naturals Specialty Pet Sales Representative. “This adds ease of use and application accuracy for optimal pet health.”

Cod Liver oil, a Norwegian favorite, has been used for its nourishing and healthful benefits for centuries. It is an ideal source of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, as well as naturally occurring vitamin A. Nordic Naturals Pet Cod Liver Oil continues this tradition by providing these same important nutrients for dogs and cats. The omega-3 fatty acids found in cod liver oil help support brain and eye development and maintenance, and skin, coat, joint, and heart health. Unflavored Pet Cod Liver Oil can be added to food or served by itself.

All Nordic Naturals pet products are made with the same exceptional quality oil used in the company’s human products, but have been specially formulated for dogs and cats. Consumers should use only pet products for dogs and cats, not human products.

Nordic Naturals achieves exceptional products by using fish oils that surpass stringent quality standards set forth by the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), European Pharmacopoeia Standards (EPS), and World Health Organization (WHO).
