Dr. Bradley R. West
Dr. Bradley R. West is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor that specializes in integrative, traditional, and functional medicine. Currently serving as Nordic Naturals’ Research Advisor, he facilitates the numerous ongoing human clinical trials using Nordic Natural products and develops research-based educational materials for professionals and consumers. Since 2005, Dr. West has maintained a part-time practice where he uses detoxification and deep healing through drainage/homeopathy, nutrition and food-as-medicine, fasting and internal-cleansing, exercise therapeutics, bio-identical hormones, and physical medicine. His emphasis is on chronic disease prevention and treatment, nature-cure, holistic endocrinology, gastroenterology, CFS/FMS, and environmental medicine. Dr. West is a 2004 graduate of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine and has worked as a medical consultant in the nutrition and supplement industry since 2006. He is devoted to research and education and often lectures and writes on various wellness topics. As a certified massage practitioner and personal trainer who has completed the Hygenic Physicians training as well, Dr. West brings a unique perspective as well as an accomplished background to all of his health-related projects.

Dr. Joseph Maroon, MD
Dr. Joseph Maroon, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a professor of neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and the team physician of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Honored as one of America’s Best Neurosurgeons for 8 consecutive years in America’s Best Doctors, he has published over 250 scientific papers, 8 books, and 40 book chapters and sits on the editorial board of 5 medical journals. His research has focused on the prevention and treatment of injuries and diseases of the brain and spine. Various national neurological societies, both here and abroad, have recognized Dr. Maroon’s contributions to neurosurgery with a number of awards. He currently serves as Medical Advisor to Nordic Naturals. A devoted athlete, he has completed 50 Olympic distance triathlon events since 1980 and was inducted into the Lou Holtz Upper Ohio Valley Hall of Fame for his athletic accomplishments and contributions to sports medicine.

Christopher Mohr, PhD, RD, CSSD
Dr. Mohr is a fitness/nutritional expert with an innovative, integrated approach to wellness, weight loss, nutrition and exercise supported by years of experience in academics, research and practical fieldwork. As the owner of Mohr Results, Inc., he has been a consultant to a number of media outletsand corporations including the Discovery Health Channel and University of Louisville Athletics. Dr.Mohr appears regularly as a “nutrition” guest on radio and TV and has written over 500 articles for consumer publications, newspapers, and websites including Men’s Health, Weight Watchers Magazine and Fitness Magazine. Dr. Mohr has a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Nutrition, from Penn State University and the University of Massachusetts, respectively. He received his PhD in exercise physiology, with a focus on the treatment and prevention of overweight and obesity, from the University of Pittsburgh, is a registered dietitian (RD) and a board certified specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD).

Tori Hudson, ND
Dr. Tori Hudson is a naturopathic physician, national lecturer, author, award winning researcher and educator with over 25 years of experience and expertise in women’s health. She is currently in private practice serving as the Medical Director of A Woman’s Time clinic and is the Program Director at the Institute of Women’s Health and Integrative Medicine. A well respected educator in her field, Dr. Hudson serves as a clinical professor at several educational institutions that serve the medical profession. An extensive writer, her book Women’s Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine is in it’s second edition, 2008, and she is well published with other books, research papers and scores of articles both consumer and professional including a monthly column in the Townsend Newsletter for Doctors. Dr. Hudson also appears on many local and network radio and TV programs that have included appearances on “Good Morning America”, PBS’s “Healthy Living Series”, and Lifetime’s “New Attitudes.” She is the founder and director of an herbal/nutritional supplement company that specializes in women’s health. Dr. Hudson practices integrated medicine utilizing nutrition, nutraceuticals, herbs, bio-identical hormones and other therapies for all gynecological and primary care conditions. In 1999, she was awarded Naturopathic Physician of the Year as well as receiving other awards in research, and her pioneering contributions in the field of women’s health and natural medicine.

David W. Nelson, OD, MBA
David W. Nelson, OD, MBA, is a practicing optometrist with over twenty years of experience in the field of primary care vision. During his career, he has been honored to serve as President oftwo professional optometric associations, one state-wide and one at the national level. In 1994, Dr. Nelson was President of the Wisconsin Optometric Association. From 2001-2002, following 8 years of service on the Board of Trustees, he served as President of the American Optometric Association (AOA), a 33,000 member organization of optometrists. He is a life member of the AOA Political Action Committee and received the Optometric Recognition Award in 1989. Regularly writing articles on vision care and eye health, Dr. Nelson gives educational lectures and provides consulting services across the United States to assist fellow optometrists in implementing new technological advances in eye care and understanding dietary supplements/lifestyle changes to bring a better quality of life and vision. Dr. Nelson graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry and received a diversified Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin School of Business.

Jean Hofve, DVM
Holistic veterinarian Jean Hofve, DVM, is internationally known for her expertise on pet food and nutrition. A well respected writer, Dr. Jean (along with nutritionist Dr. Celeste Yarnall) has just published her first book, The Complete Guide to Holistic Cat Care: An Illustrated Handbook (Quarry Books, 2009). After receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1994, she settled in Denver, practicing full time for five years and then part time while maintaining an active career as a respected writer, speaker, and consultant in all areas of pet health. From 2004 to 2007, she served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Jean has written hundreds of articles, has lectured on pet topics throughout the US, and regularly appears on radio and TV. Shoshana Bennett, Ph.D
Shoshana Bennett, Ph.D., (“Dr. Shosh”) is a pioneer and a leading national expert in the field of postpartum depression. She is the author of Postpartum Depression For Dummies and co-author of Beyond the Blues: Understanding and Treating Prenatal and Postpartum Depression. Her latest book Pregnant on Prozac was just released in January 2009. As a survivor of two life-threatening undiagnosed postpartum depressions, she has helped over 18,000 women worldwide through individual consultations, support groups, and wellness seminars. Dr. Shosh founded Postpartum Assistance for Mothers in 1987 and is a former president of Postpartum Support International. As a noted guest lecturer and keynote speaker, she travels throughout the US and abroad, training medical and mental health professionals to assess and treat postpartum depression and related mood disorders. She has earned three teaching credentials, two masters degrees, a Ph.D., and is licensed as a clinical psychologist. Several publications including the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Jose Mercury News have written articles on Dr. Shosh’s work. She is interviewed regularly on national radio and television such as “20/20” and “The Doctors” and has been quoted in dozens of publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, Glamour, Psychology Today, New York Post, Self, Cosmopolitan and Chicago Tribune.
